Wow, It's hard to believe that tommorow we will be leaving for Africa (or Romania). For the past couple of days I've been getting more and more nervous. It felt like those butterflies you get right before you go on stage. The kind where its hard to eat and you find your breath being taken away. I thought "I've done this before, why am I so nervous?" My mom even asked why I was like this and I couldn't explain it. Then it hit me....I'm so nervous because in a few days my life is going to be changed again. I look back on where I was a year ago when I was about to leave on internship and I realized that the person I am now is so drastically different than the person I was then. I am so glad for that, but now I know that whether I like it or not, I am about to be changed. This morning I woke up and I was still a little nervous. But more than that I was overwhelmingly excited. Change is good. And I believe that God is going to change all of us for the better this summer. I'm not really sure what the point of me writing this was, I just felt compelled to do so. But I know that each of us is going to have amazing, irreplaceable experiences that will impact the course of our lives. All of you are in my prayers. Be safe, have fun, and let God work in you.

All Countries Represented!
Hey, everybody! I just wanted to let you know that we now have at least one person from each internship location represented on the blog! For those of you who have accepted your invitation, please remind your fellow interns to sign up, and start posting so we can know how things are going.
In just a few days the first group of interns will arrive here in Togo. How are you all feeling as you prepare? Any questions, fears, or concerns? Let us know!
You are all in our prayers daily as the time for your internships approaches.
For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here are some pictures from a safari I took with my boys last week. We were stranded for 20 hours in the bush before the rangers came to pull us out!

We're Waiting!
Every year our children look forward to the summer, and not just because they get out of school. They know that when summer comes, that means that the interns are coming! One of the biggest blessings for host families of the internship is the interaction you will have with our children. You will become their friends, mentors, and mabye even heros! So I wanted to give my children a chance to talk to the interns who will be staying with us to help give all of you a taste of what you have to look forward to!
Aidan says to the guys: "I want you to know I have a workshop, and you can help me build. I know you like work. And never mind about that building stuff, because we have a swimming pool in Togo too and I heard you guys like to swim too."
Abby adds: "I'm excited for you to come and have tea parties and I would like you to know that we have a market in Kara that we can go to. There is also a really big waterfall in Togo that we can go to during the rainy season."
Aidan again: "And, buddies, we can go on hikes. Big mountain hikes. And we could slingshot birds. Once on a hike we had our slingshots in the car and saw some birds we could shoot and eat, but we couldn't because the slingshots were in the car."
And finally, from Asher: "Jeeesuuuusss!"
So much to look forward to! We are really excited for all of you to begin your adventures, and are looking forward to hearing from you on this blog over the next few weeks about all the amazing things God does through and around you!
